Indonesia, or the Republic of Indonesia, is a nation in Southeast Asia and Oceania between the Indian and Pacific oceans. It consists of about 17,000 islands, including Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, and portions of Borneo and New Guinea.

Incomparable to any other place. With its diverse cultures, beautiful landscapes, and plenty of religious sites, Indonesia is one of those places where the two worlds’ civilizations coexist peacefully.

It’s worthwhile to ride a bike or simply walk about the region to get to know it. There are no shortage of Hinduism and colorful culture references in the corners. By there, the Pura Taman Saraswati temple, built in honor of a goddess and an amazing lotus flower pond, and the Sacred Monkey Forest are well worth a visit, but at the end of the day, be sure to relax in one of the many spa options or class Yoga.

When visiting Indonesia, rice field plantations can’t be left off your must-visit list. Considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Jatiluwih is one of the largest rice fields in all of Ubud and makes for incredible pictures.

We advise anyone who want to extend their trip and plan on staying an extra few days to take advantage of the island of Nusa Penida’s proximity to Bali and see its largely undiscovered beauties. Though the area lacks much in the way of visitor structures as yet, it is nonetheless worthwhile to visit due to its lovely atmosphere.
