International students will be able to work in Germany for 9 months prior to starting their studies.
Its policies for those wishing to work and study there have been modified.
With these modifications, international students will find it simpler to work part-time while getting ready to study in Germany.
A few of the significant adjustments are as follows:
- Work Before Studying: Individuals from non-European nations may now apply for a student visa to Germany and arrive up to nine months ahead of the start of lectures. They can prepare their documentation, take language classes, and acclimate to German life during this period. They can also support themselves by working up to 20 hours a week in a part-time capacity.
- Apprenticeships: Interested parties may travel to Germany nine months before to the commencement of their apprenticeship and work part-time while seeking for opportunities. They must demonstrate that they are under 35 years old and have some proficiency in German.
- Extended Hours of Work for Students: German international students can now work longer hours to assist with their living expenses. They can put in up to 20 hours a week, or 140 full days, of work annually.
- Prolonged Period Following Graduation: Graduates from German universities are allowed to remain in the nation for an additional 18 months in order to look for employment. If they continue to work for two years, they can even apply for permanent residence. As a result, they have more time to settle down and advance their jobs.
The goal of these modifications is to facilitate foreign nationals’ ability to work and study in Germany so they can establish a future there.
